Nasal Conditions
According to the old expression, the nose knows.
Not only is it a prominent feature on your face that “sniffs out” important scents and smells, but it’s an essential part of the respiratory system, inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide. The nasal passages also contribute to other important bodily functions such as tasting and even hearing. The nasopharynx is connected to the middle ear, which it fills with air. This equalizes air pressure in the ear with the atmosphere around it, thus enabling you to hear properly.
Sinus problems, nasal polyps, and other conditions that hamper the ability of your nose to function properly should not be taken lightly, but instead promptly addressed.
