Taylor Lackey, MD
Dr. Taylor Lackey is a Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon, with specialized fellowship training in voice, airway, and swallowing disorders. She brings passion and expertise in the rehabilitation of the larynx to provide patients of Austin ENT Clinic with meaningful outcomes in communication and swallowing.
Dr. Lackey was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She started her education by earning her degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She went on to achieve her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where she received Honors in the Foundational Sciences. She then completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado, where she earned the Resident Teaching Award. Dr. Lackey then pursued advanced fellowship training with the renowned Dr. Milan Amin at the New York University Voice Center, specializing in voice, airway, and swallowing disorders.
Her unique training allows her to perform numerous in-office procedures, including vocal fold injections, biopsies, and airway evaluations. Additionally, Dr. Lackey performs awake laser procedures for voice and airway disorders. She holds broad expertise in the evaluation and treatment of the singing voice, benign and cancerous vocal cord disease, complex airway surgery, and swallowing disorders including Zenker’s diverticula and complete esophageal stenosis.
Dr. Lackey believes it is paramount for an otolaryngologist, speech-language pathologist, and the patient to work together to develop a comprehensive plan for evaluating and treating voice, breathing, and swallowing disorders. She is an active educator with her patients and has authored numerous scientific publications.
Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Lackey spending time with her husband and dog, running around Lady Bird Lake, enjoying Austin’s live music, hiking, or exploring the restaurant scene.
