Anya Tomkies, MD
Dr. Anya Tomkies is a distinguished otolaryngologist (ENT) specializing in Head and Neck Surgery, with extensive training and a strong academic background. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Fine Arts from Rice University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) in Dallas, where she was honored with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Tomkies completed her residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at UTSW.
Dr. Tomkies is skilled in treating a wide range of ENT-specific conditions for both children and adults. Her expertise includes rhinosinusitis and nasal obstruction, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, salivary gland diseases, ear and otologic conditions, obstructive sleep apnea (including Inspire therapy and multi-level surgery), vocal cord and airway disorders, and more.
Dr. Tomkies is fluent in Russian.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Tomkies enjoys various hobbies, such as oil painting, bread baking, cooking, and weightlifting. She cherishes spending time with her friends and family and enjoys hiking with her husband and two dogs.
Dr. Tomkies will be available to see patients at our Southwest Austin – Village, South Austin - Menchaca Rd, and Kyle locations.
